• They don't take it seriously
  • They treat it as if it is a game
  • Younger students don't have a good understanding of what the teacher is looking for
  • Disconnect between writing on paper and writing on the computer (application on both are different to students)
  • Expressing things orally is also different then expressing on paper
  • Being honest with their peers, they don't want to hurt feelings or for friends to get mad at them
  • Technology doesn't work sometimes and other times you don't understand the problems that happen with different programs.
  • The responsibility level isn't there for younger kids to understand rubrics or what is expected of them
  • They are too involve in the "cute" and not the content (a template might solve this problem, but you might not want that because you want creative works)
  • A lack of elaboration and lack of time they want to spend on their self assessments
